She passed away in 2019 (at the age of 83) but her words will live on forever. “If poetry had a pop icon, Mary Oliver would be it. Mary Oliver: Saved by the Beauty of the World considers the poet’s long lifetime of work in context.” Celebrate the life and career of Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Mary Oliver. Shaped by a solitary childhood and rising literary fame, Oliver published more than 30 collections of poetry and essays on nature, beauty, and the journey towards love. Notable voices like Stephen Colbert, Oprah Winfrey, Steve Buscemi, Lucy Dacus and more share how Oliver’s work resonates today. Mary loved Cape Cod and spend most of her years living in New England.
