“How could it happen?!” Antenna Releasing has debuted the official trailer for the film Stolen Kingdom, a fascinating new unauthorized Disney doc to watch this summer. It’s set for an official theatrical release in theaters starting in May before it lands on VOD in June coming up soon. From director Josh Bailey, Stolen Kingdom is an investigative documentary film that delves into the history of mischief, scandal, and theft at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, ultimately leading to the story of a heist of an animatronic valued at nearly half a million dollars. Who took Buzzy? And what happened? And where is it at now? Follow the history of misdeeds and debauchery at Walt Disney World Resort over 30 years. As the narrative unfolds, early pranks and antics are shown to have inspired more recent crimes, culminating in a true crime mystery. Well I’m intrigued! Of course this reminds me of the other unauthorized Disney films – The Sweatbox and Escape from Tomorrow, among others. “See it before it’s illegal!” Ha.
