Rumors for the Day:
- Fightful Select claims that Rey Mysterio and Bron Breakker’s injuries are what led to GUNTHER vs. Seth Rollins being made for WrestleMania 42.
- Dave Meltzer pushed back against that, however, claiming Bron Breakker is actually cleared and WWE simply doesn’t want to do the match against Rollins without a proper build on television. The GUNTHER match “has been the plan for several weeks.” GUNTHER becoming Rollins’ opponent actually stemmed from Bronson Reed’s injury, because Logan Paul was planned for a celebrity match involving IShowSpeed, which left Rollins without an opponent.
- For what it’s worth, Cody Rhodes said on The Breakfast Club that no one has ever even come close to speculating the real reason he and his wife, Brandi, left AEW. Take that for what you will.
- Bryan Alvarez said on Wrestling Observer Live that WWE is no longer planning to do El Grande Americano vs. Original El Grande Americano at WrestleMania 42, instead saving it for AAA.
- Self Made Pro claims WWE has finally figured out how they are going to launch Royce Keys’ career on the main roster.
