Invincible VS has confirmed Conquest as the 18th playable character in the upcoming 3v3 tag fighting game, completing the launch roster.
With the April 30 release date coming up, Skybound Entertainment and developer Quarter Up also revealed open beta information and the first two DLC characters. The open beta runs on consoles April 9-11, with three modes available (Tutorial, Practice and Ranked), and there’s a bonus Omni-Man skin for all participants. Quarter Up said the first two DLC characters, Universa and the Immortal, arrive this summer.
Here’s the official blurb on Conquest, who anyone up to date with the Prime Video Invincible show will know well:
By far the most ruthless and cruel member of the Viltrumites, Conquest gets a genuine thrill from causing mass pain and destruction. With no interest in duty, ceremony or politics, he meets every challenge with brutal violence, unfazed by the thought of collateral damage or taking innocent lives. Conquest is known as the “nuclear option,” deployed only when the Empire needs a planet subdued in the most sadistic and merciless way possible. Yet that same savage, over-the-top brutality leaves him despised by his own kind — revealing a loneliness at his core.
In gameplay terms, Conquest is considered a ‘Striker,’ which means he can apply immense pressure and overpower his opponents with powerful strikes. He has a charging punch that builds speed and gains super armor as it travels. The idea is you time your armored abilities to blast through your opponents attacks.
With the addition of Conquest, we now know who we have to play with when Invincible VS comes out:
Invincible VS launch roster of playable characters:
- Mark Grayson (Invincible)
- Thula
- Bulletproof
- Atom Eve
- Rex Splode
- Omni-Man
- Battle Beast
- Cecil Stedman
- Robot
- Monster Girl
- Anissa
- Lucan
- Powerplex
- Dupli-Kate
- Allen the Alien
- Titan
- Ella Mental
- Conquest
There are some notable absentees from the launch roster. Angstrom Levy is perhaps the most glaring omission, but no Mauler Twins is also a surprise. Then there’s Shrinking Rae, Darkwing, and even Shapesmith who all fail to make an appearance. We’re told more characters will be released as DLC, so perhaps we’ll eventually get to see pretty much every character from the Invincible universe, assuming the game proves successful enough. Still, at launch, Invincible VS feels a little Viltrumite heavy.
The open beta features 10 characters: Mark (Invincible); Atom Eve; Omni-Man; Allen; Battle Beast; Rex; Robot; Monster Girl; Thula; and Bulletproof. There are six unique arenas: Hometown Invasion (Night); The Moon; Ka-Hor’s Tomb (Day); Himalayas; Kinetic Chamber; and Training Room.
Invincible VS launches on April 30, 2026 for Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
