Paul “Triple H” Levesque announced today that Bad News Brown is going into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026 as a “legacy” inductee.
“From standing on the podium at the 1976 Summer Olympics to the center of the ring at #WrestleMania IV, Bad News Brown was a fierce competitor with an attitude to match. For his accomplishments in combat sports and contributions to @WWE, it is a pleasure to announce his induction into the 2026 Legacy Class of the #WWEHOF.”
Brown is most famous for his run as a villain in WWF from 1988 through 1990. This includes winning the WrestleMania 4 Battle Royal, only for his trophy to be destroyed by runner up Bret Hart during the post-match angle. It was two years later when “Rowdy” Roddy Piper painted half his face and body black for his WrestleMania 6 feud with Brown, which was so offensive that it was removed from Peacock’s WWE library archive.
Brown joins a WWE HOF Class that also includes Stephanie McMahon, AJ Styles, Ax & Smash of Demolition, Dennis Rodman, and Sid Vicious.
