Dominik Mysterio risked his career in AAA at Rey de Reyes (Mar. 14, 2026), and he overcame the odds to retain the Mega Championship.
Dominik faced Hijo del Vikingo for the gold. Stipulations were aplenty. If Dom wins, then Vikingo can never challenge him again for the mega title. If Vikingo wins, then Dominik would have to leave AAA forever. On top of that, the match was no disqualification. Dominik had no friends left in AAA, while Vikingo was backed by Dorian Roldan and Omos.
The action was contentious from the opening bell. Dominik shoved his opponent, so Vikingo exited the ring in the coolest possible way to retrieve a kendo stick. Swing and a miss. Dominik slid outside for a kendo of his own. They clacked sticks, then threw down for punches.

Vikingo outclassed Dominik early with wrestling. The challenger got feisty by throwing a steel chair right at Dom’s head. It was that kind of match.

Chaos intensified down the stretch when Dominik rallied for a Michinoku Dirver on Vikingo. Even though the challenger kicked out in time, Roldan didn’t want to risk it. He rushed into the ring trying to make the save. It was Roldan that needed saving when Dirty Dom shoved him onto his keister. Roldan waved in for Omos to join the party.

Omos grabbed a trashcan out of Dominik’s hands to throw right back at him. Vikingo landed a flying double stomp to Dom hung in the ropes, but it wasn’t enough to win.

Roldan’s next plan of action was for Vikingo to hit a frog splash while wearing the mega title around his waist for extra impact. Dirty Dom was no sucker. He avoided the splash, and Vikingo crashed to the mat. Dominik dropkicked Vikingo into the ropes for the 619, however, Omos goozled him for a chokeslam onto the apron. Omos added a second chokeslam in the ring. Dom was dead meat in this clip.

It looked like a new mega champion would be crowned. Omos lifted Vikingo onto the turnbuckles to finish the job. That’s when Dominik received an unexpected helping hand. Mini Vikingo ran out for a super hurricanrana to Vikingo. Mini Vikingo wasn’t necessarily helping Dom. The motivation was more to screw Vikingo after he put Mini Vikingo into the hospital. Omos double goozled Mini Vikingo like a ragdoll. The giant left his weak spot open. Dirty Dom struck with a low blow. Dominik and Mini Vikingo teamed up to chop down the giant with chair shots. Dirty Dom added another chair shot for good measure to Vikingo. That set up the 619. Dominik seized the moment for victory via frog splash.

This was a fun main event for Rey de Reyes. The crowd was crazy hot for Dominik winning against the odds. Vikingo did well as a villainous heel, and Omos was outstanding as a giant.
