It was a big night for former NXT Women’s North American and WWE Women’s Speed champion Sol Ruca last night (May 4) in Omaha, Nebraska. Scheduled to sign her first main roster contract live on Raw, and in a scene with one of the biggest female pro wrestling stars of all-time, reigning WWE Women’s Intercontinental champ Becky Lynch.
When the script called for Ruca to hit her viral, crowd-pleasing Sol Snatcher finisher on Lynch however, some combination of nerves and unfamiliar ropes caused the 26-year-old Californian to slip. She quickly recovered, and with Becky’s assistance executed a passable version of the move. But the slip did momentarily take a little something out of what was a pretty hot crowd all night in Omaha.

WWE production’s top notch reputation is well-earned, and before midnight they had a edited version online without the slip. It’s still one of the worst Sol Snatchers you’ll see, but it’s plays really smoothly despite the cut:

And The Man’s work wasn’t done when she timed her front-fall to help sell the busted Sol Snatcher. She went backstage to cut a promo selling the move, blasting “Sol Puke-a” for “attacking me out of nowhere, for doing nothing”, and moving the whole story forward… to a likely suspension for Big Time Bex, even though she’d “never harm” her “good friend Adam Pearce”. Lynch you see, was just “reaching for the contract” to make sure there weren’t “hidden things” like “a little favor from NXT” to give Ruca a shot at her title. Striking the Raw General Manager just happened because Becky is “very strong” and sometimes doesn’t know her own strength.
