Rumors for the Day:
- Per Fightful Select, Chris Jericho is still listed on the AEW roster page and that’s the best indicator he’s still under contract to the company. His deal is apparently not up just yet, for whatever reason that may be.
- PW Insider notes there is no word on whether or not AJ Styles is slated for Raw this week.
- They also say Oba Femi, Sol Ruca, and Je’Von Evans received high praise within the company for their performances at Royal Rumble, with the feeling that this was the “true start of getting new names established for the future.”
- WWE went to great lengths to keep Brie Bella’s comeback a secret, hiding her backstage and only being brought into the inner circle when it was nearly time for her to go out for the Royal Rumble, says Insider.
- On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said from what he heard, there was no “compelling reason” that Ava left WWE but rather she simply didn’t want to do it anymore.
- Kit Wilson was considered for a spot in the Royal Rumble but WWE obviously decided against it, says Fightful.
