Tonight’s (Aug. 5) episode of Dynamite: Grand Slam Mexico featured a 3-way match between Andrade El Idolo, Komander, and Tommaso Ciampa. The winner earns the number one entry in the Casino Gauntlet match at All In at Wembley Stadium on Aug. 30.
Earlier today in my Dynamite preview, I said the only way Andrade loses this match is if MJF returns to screw him over. The AEW commentators did make repeated references to Andrade stealing MJF’s Dynamite Diamond Ring, but Big Hebrew was nowhere to be seen. As a result, Andrade predictably pinned Komander to secure the number one spot.
Afterwards, Andrade delivered a big babyface promo in Arena Mexico, capped off with with his popular “How you know?” catchphrase. That’s when MJF’s theme music hit. He blasted Andrade from behind with his Triple B version of the AEW world title. MJF continued the attack with the Dynamite Diamond Ring, busting open Andrade and spilling his blood in the process.
MJF cut a promo where he called Mexico a piece of shit country, before throwing a tantrum about how Kenny Omega is walking around with a toy belt after screwing him over at Dynamite Beach Break. MJF was irate about the way Kenny and Will Ospreay stole his world title match at Wembley Stadium. But that’s okay, because MJF has a chance next week to earn the number two spot in All In’s Casino gauntlet match.
MJF ended his promo by calling the Omega vs. Ospreay a “fake main event” at All In. The only world championship that should be recognized is his Triple B. No matter who wins that match, MJF will emerge as the one true world champion soon after he wins the Casino Gauntlet match at Wembley Stadium.
What’s your reaction to MJF walking around with the Triple B and shitting on the actual AEW world title main event match at All In? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
