As Venezuela continues its recovery and reconnection efforts, Avianca, part of Abra Group, announced plans to strengthen connectivity with Colombia through the resumption of key services and the launch of new flights.
Resumption of Service Between Caracas and Bogotá: Following a comprehensive assessment of operational and safety conditions conducted in coordination with authorities, Avianca will resume flights between the Venezuelan and Colombian capitals which began Sept. 1.
New Maracaibo-Bogotá Service: On Aug. 28, the airline launched a new nonstop route between La Chinita International Airport and El Dorado International Airport, offering daily flights between the two cities.
This expanded connectivity builds on Avianca’s existing daily nonstop service between Valencia and Bogotá.
In total, Avianca will offer more than 7,500 weekly seats between the two countries, operating Airbus A320 aircraft with capacity for 180 passengers on all flights.

A Network Serving Communities: Following the earthquakes that struck the country on June 24, Avianca leveraged its operations, capacity and team to support humanitarian efforts focused on emergency response, rescue and reconstruction.
Avianca Cargo aircraft transported nearly 150 tons of humanitarian aid, while the Miles Bank helped mobilize more than 134 doctors and rescue workers from 14 partner organizations, supported by the donation of more than 18 million miles from LifeMiles members, which were matched by the airline.
