“We gotta find the way back home!” Wow! Universal Pictures has revealed the dazzling first official trailer for the movie Forgotten Island, an animated adventure movie about two best friends. From DreamWorks Animation comes a vibrant, emotional story about two lifelong best friends who must come together before they drift apart in Forgotten Island. Set for release in theaters starting in September later this year. The new original film is written and directed by Joel Crawford & Januel Mercado also behind Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and they’ve outdone themselves with something even more creative this time. Grammy and Academy Award winning supernova H.E.R. and Liza Soberano star as high school graduates Jo & Raissa, who have been best friends since grade school but are now about to embark down separate life paths. They discover a mysterious portal that transports them to the fantastical island of Nakali, packed with magical creatures they heard stories about from their Filipino families. The voice cast also features Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, and Ronny Chieng. Wow! Did not expect this to break out into some seriously mind-bending animation in the second half.
